What Is the Correlation Engine?
The Correlation Engine is VitalSync's analytics system that applies six validated scientific models to your personal health data. Unlike most health apps that show you raw numbers, VitalSync presents your data alongside established clinical reference ranges and peer-reviewed research patterns to help you have more informed conversations with your care team.
Key Principle
The Correlation Engine compares you only to your own baseline — never to population averages. This makes the insights personally relevant rather than statistically generic.
The Six Models
| Model | What It Detects |
| Sleep-Cardiovascular Reciprocity | Poor sleep → elevated morning BP |
| Allostatic Load | Sustained elevated HR/BP during recovery |
| HRV-Guided Training (Kibler) | Low HRV → recommend recovery day |
| 72-Hour Lag Analysis | Sleep deprivation → reduced HRV 3 days later |
| Circadian Rhythm Model | Sleep architecture → fasting glucose & resting HR |
| DASH Sodium Sensitivity | Sodium intake → BP spikes over 24–48 hours |

Insight Format
Each insight includes:
- Hypothesis: What pattern was detected
