HRV-Guided Training Readiness

How VitalSync uses your HRV to recommend training or recovery days.

HRV-Guided Training Readiness

VitalSync's HRV-Guided Training model uses the Kibler methodology — the same approach used by Oura and Whoop — to flag when your autonomic nervous system needs a recovery day.

How It Works

  • VitalSync calculates your 7-day rolling HRV average as your personal baseline.
  • Each morning, it compares your current HRV to that baseline.
  • If your HRV is more than 20% below baseline, VitalSync recommends a rest or low-intensity day.
  • Daily Readiness Score

The Daily Readiness Score on the Dashboard synthesises your sleep quality, HRV, and vitals into a single 0–100 score. A score below 60 suggests prioritising recovery.

    Interpreting the Score

    ScoreRecommendation

80–100High readiness — train at full intensity
60–79Moderate — normal training with awareness
40–59Low — consider light activity or rest
    < 40Very low — rest day recommended
