Logging Heart Rate & HRV
Track your resting heart rate and heart rate variability over time.
Logging Heart Rate & HRV
VitalSync tracks both resting heart rate (BPM) and heart rate variability (HRV) — a key indicator of autonomic nervous system health.
Automatic Sync
If you wear an Apple Watch, heart rate and HRV data sync automatically via HealthKit. No manual entry needed.
Manual Entry
Understanding HRV
HRV measures the variation in time between heartbeats. Higher HRV generally indicates better recovery and cardiovascular fitness.
- Low HRV: May indicate stress, poor sleep, or illness
- High HRV: Indicates good recovery and autonomic balance
VitalSync uses your personal 7-day rolling average as a baseline — not population averages.
HRV-Guided Training
The Correlation Engine uses the Kibler Model to flag when your HRV suggests a recovery day is needed. See HRV Training Readiness.
